The air drifting in through the window is saturated with the aromas of spring, of jasmine accompanied by the general sent of nature splitting open. Bringing new life. The skin on my arm’s, newly released from their winter cocoons, tingles with the sensation of air no longer cold, not yet hot. However to the backdrop of spring bursting forth I am going to talk of spring coming to a close.
With the decision to name Sabrina as our last child our little family tree relinquishes the hidden joy of new life forming. All the buds are not only on the tree but have split and pealed back their outer layers to revile the blossoms within. Each blossom a unique creation and yet an obvious member of our family.
I feel a certain melancholy that the spring of our family is over, yet the summer ahead holds such great potential that the thought of it spurs me on. On into the long adventurous summer days where character is formed and personalities revile themselves. I am sure in the years to come I will look back fondly on our families gentle springtime. And when the intense heat of clashing temperaments take its toll I will increase my stamina with memories of puggy fingers wrapping around my neck and slobbery kisses covering my face.
Thankyou to Lisa for this weeks I spy theme and to Cindy for hosting it.

Thank you, it’s one of the only ones I have of the four of them together I’ll have to make an effort to get a few more me thinks.

Thanks for your comment on my blog (eye-spy and etsy Halloween) — yes, my first sale was quite a rush; now if I can only keep it up!
I scrolled through your blog and those flowers you posted were gorgeous, especially the Bird of Paradise.
Sounds like a particularly beautiful closing of this chapter and a wonderful beginning to the next!
