I am really not a yellow person. Not that I have anything against yellow loving individuals however I have always held the belief that they would be just a little too sunshiny to endure any prolonged contact with. All that beaming around the place could become grating after a while. But, I fully admit that this is an uneducated opinion not knowing any yellow addicts myself (except for a boy i knew when I was a kid, and I did have to wear sunnies when I went in his room) so please if you consider yourself a lover of that colour and would like to become an advocate for the cause please post convincing comments below I always enjoy having my eyes opened.

In the end I do have a little of it lying around my own self.

My Tupperware measuring cups recently pulled out of the one cupboard we are yet to safety lock, hmmm next job me thinks. Also see how the slate doesn’t quite make it to the kitchen, can’t wait till that stuff is gone.

One section of the Letter Land Train, the phonics system we are using for home schooling.

Our nature table, mostly collected from Mum and Dad’s because they have the best Autumn trees.

You know the deal if you would like to play along and show the world your yellow then head over the Hello Owl’s blog and join the fun.

I just realized something, I don’t think I ever throw keys out.

This cup is a sort of key ring for all the loose keys I have, non of them open anything anymore. Items of note, the coloured keys were a present for Glenn before we were married they opened my parents house before they changed the locks which they swear has nothing to do with me giving him the keys. The necklace is the one I wore on my wedding day.

These are the keys for our car, before we traded it in.

The Croc key ring is Glenn’s, his Mum lives in Darwin, they have crocs there. The triangle thing is my souvenir from Uni it was the cutting blade from some metal cutting machine, I thought it looked cool.

These were my original set of keys, I think maybe a few still open doors at Mum and Dad’s but most are from the last three houses we have lived in. The cross thingy is the pendant of an early 90s necklace, you know the time when giant peace signs were in fashion.

These are the keys that are in use at the moment. They are more functional than pretty but the little light is cool and we have recently discovered it stops the baby screaming in the car, well at least for a little bit.

I just found out that a meme I used to do has found a new home at HELLO OWL so I thought I would play along. It goes a little like this:

“This weeks theme is PINK…. How does pink fit into your life? Do you love it or hate it? I’d love to hear your side of the story..
Show me something pink in your home and for some reason there’s is no pink in your house..don’t be afraid to step outside and search for it.”

You don’t have to worry there is no shortage of pink in this house. With three girls still in the frilly tutus and fairy splattered hair accessories age it’s escaping from the dreaded pink that becomes the issue. Well at least it is for the too dudes in the photo above.

Super Black as my 6 year old son now goes by is anything but a fan of pink, or any other colour for that matter. And the other male in the shot, Mr Murc clearly is not impressed by finding himself so close to such a lurid colour, either that or he’s not to thrilled by the baby resting her head on his butt. And that about sums it up for this place, even if you take yourself to the darkest dingy corner PINK will creep up and poke its face into your business, but it does have a cute face so we will forgive it.
