I could have laughed out loud when I read what Pips new meme theme was (Ha Ha Meme Theme, sorry I’m tired). But I didn’t because the baby was asleep and that happens so rarely around here we have learnt to communicate in sign language so as not to disturb her when she does.
It’s not really her fault, see almost two weeks ago I took Sabi to the doctors with a bit of a cough. Which according to the Doc was nothing to worry about but her ear was a little pinkish so he put her on antibiotics which she immediately reacted to by producing explosive bursts of diarrhoea that no nappy can contain every 10 minutes. Because she had an ear infection a month ago the Doc wanted us to ride the week out with the nasty drugs. So you can imagine how hard it was for the little buba to reach any REM with her bowels regularly twisting into knots. The day before her course finished, when uninterrupted nights enveloped in warm sleepiness was practically visible around the corner, a tiny white dot appeared on the roof of her mouth.
Now maybe you might know what is coming next but I, in my sleep deprived haze, thought nothing of it. Till we all got up the next morning and her whole mouth was coated in curdely white goop, so totally gross. The antibiotics had given her thrush and now we’re in the middle of another week at least of medication and late night cuddles on the rocking chair.
Sorry just had to vent, now where were we, oh that’s right, Pips meme. She wants to get to know us more. Which is nice. A friendly thing. (Now I’m typing like Pip, must wake up, must wake up) And she’s wants to start by seeing what’s on my shelf. Ha I’d like to see that too but seeing that we only just got walls I think a shelf this week might just be pushing it. Then I remembered we did actually buy a shelf in expectation I guess of having a wall to stick it on. So there you go Pip, that top photo is my shelf and what I have on it is a hammer. But if I did have a shelf. A nice decorative shelf on a wall that was finished it would probably have on it something like this
Orange frame: one of my most favourite family photos
Blue frame: Photo of our first Christmas as a married couple. With baby in tummy, demented Dog we got for a wedding present and my sister who had already pinched some of the turkey and drank a little to much good cheer.
Hi Sarah, So sorry you have been having a tough time with Sabrina with ear infections and antibiotics/thrush. Hope that you get a good nights sleep soon. Sleep deprivation is just one of the worst things – my heart goes out to you.
Hope that Sabrina is well really soon and you get to have some catch up sleep.
How are your renovations going? I know it will be a long slow process, but it will be worth it when you all finally finish.
All going great in Darwin. I visit my Mum for 4 days at the end of November. She is doing great and I keep in touch all the time, but at 86 I need to keep physically checking on her too.
Bye for now Love Heather
I hope that your little one gets better soon the poor little thing. I love your hammer and shelf soon I’m sure it will be up with lovely pictures to go on it.:)
