Yup sorry but mine are icky old hiking shoes. I have had them since year 9 and I adore them. When Lani saw what photo I was putting up she said “Um, Mum some of the other people might put up photo’s of high heel shoes” Sorry Lani this might just be another one of those times when your preferences may not be the same as your mother’s.
I’d pick these over high heels any day. They were bought for Duke of Ed hikes and have been everywhere with me. All the way through high school, through uni, on my honeymoon (We went to Jenolan caves so no high heels there either) and now they are running around the house after 4 tearaway children. These shoes have surged up mountains, they have forded streams, tore through the scrub and taken on the challenges of farm life. I wore these shoes to my first ever job. I wore them the first time I saw Glenn. I love these shoes.
Even though the most adventurous these tired, wrinkled and balding shoes get nowadays is a mad dash around the playground after a toddler hell bent on injuring herself, they do still make me feel like I can take on the world, that is if I had the time.
