While I was cooking a fruit and nut loaf, which Lani declared to be absolutely disgusting, I was asked with ever increasing pleading tones if we could also make some thing that would taste nice to eat. Being in the middle of a recipe myself and not really in the mood to bear the constant badgering I told Lani that if she could find a recipe for Orange and Poppy Seed muffins they could make them after, as we had the ingredients.
My little nerdling went straight to Google and found this Orange and Poppy Seed recipe She even tried to print it herself but her Daddy is yet to hook the printer up to her login so we had to send it to Mummy first, but she had figured out how to print it herself so I’m still proud.
They did everything themselves, I just snapped photos and laughed at the mess and mad panic when the egg shells fell in.
there is a great deal of concentration involved in cooking.
Next time I’m going to let them clean the kitchen all by themselves too.

Brave Mummy letting them cook “by themselves”. I’ve done that only once but they had to clean up too! Love the saucepan-come-mixing-bowl!
