I was recently asked by Ben at Mooo.com.au if I would like to review one of their products. To be honest I had never heard of them so I popped over to their site to have a look and immediately drowned in a giant sea of cuteness. I’m not kidding, I know it’s tempting to talk these review things up but these guys are adorable.
Mooo produce a wide range of products that you are able to personalise down to the finest detail. They make everything including stationary, wooden name puzzles, clothing and home decor, it’s a bit like having you own graphic designer to boss around.
I loved looking at the gorgeous images on their site and had such a hard time choosing what I wanted to be sent as a free sample.
They have an unbelievable range of repositionable wall stickers and if my walls weren’t such a mess at the moment with the redecorating I would have been tempted. I mean look at the flowers, so sweet and you can change the colours around to suit your decor, I think I will have to head back over when the walls are done.
In the end I chose a medium sized back pack for Sabrina. She adores bags and I have been wanting to get her a special one that can be used when she goes visiting (major hint for any friends or relatives out there who would like to have a little bitty girl come visit for an afternoon).
I was able to choose between Navy, Pink and Red for the bag itself. I really love the freedom to choose darker colours for a girly product, light pink is really not my little mud loving adventure girl’s colour.
So my thoughts on the Mooo Bag
It’s a cute little bag, seems to be well made although I can’t talk about durability because we have only had it for a couple of days.
The size is good for a two year old. Sabrina can wear it herself without toppling over backwards but it is large enough to fit a handful of nappies, wipes, bottom cream, spare change of clothes, book, comfort toy….Oh my goodness two year olds need so much stuff.
The bag is made in china though so if you are only interested in shopping local, supporting the handmade industry or fair trade it’s not for you.
Update: Although the bags come from China, it is a Melbourne based company so all the printing is done there.
The image on the front is not only sugar sweet but well printed high resolution with clean sharp edges.
I actually really loved the website and the ordering process. Not confusing in the least, very user friendly. All of your choses pop up on an image of the product you are buying so you can see exactly what you are buying with each click, even your child’s name if you chose to personalize it. Which I did because you would not believe how many times I’ve had to stand and sift though racks of named bottles searching for an ‘Alanah’ or ‘Lillian’ that I just know won’t be there just because “we should double check anyway” I didn’t realize how important seeing your name on your stuff could be to some kids. So the fact that I could order a bag with one of our slightly left of centre names on it and not have to admit defeat and buy the all encompassing “Lil’ Princess” was bliss.
Oh and it also provides hours of entertainment if you get a kick out of playing “Where’s the flower… where is it…..where’s it gone…..
……OH THERE IT IS!!!!”
So if you are looking for a unique Christmas present or you just want to play kid in the lolly shop with their candy bar of images head over to mooo.com.au.
If Ben from Mooo were to contact me [and may he feel free to!] I would choose the wall stickers. I’ve only wanted them forever!!!
Love those bags – will remember them when Evie starts school.
So cute!!!
